With their vast moorlands, the lower reaches covered with St John’s wort, extensive heath, virgin woodlands, pristine mountain streams and alpine climate, the Bale Mountains remain an untouched and beautiful world. Rising to a height of more than 4,000 meters, the range borders the southern highlands of Ethiopia. Mount Tullu Deemtu, the highest peak in southern Ethiopia, reaches 4,377 meters.
The establishment of the 2,400 square-kilometres of bale Mountains National Park was crucial to the survival of the mountain nyala, Meneliks bushbuck and Simien red fox. This fox is one of the most colorful members of the dog family and more abundant there than anywhere else in Ethiopia. All three endemic animals thrive in this environment, while the nyala in particular can be seen in large numbers. The Bale Mountains offer some fine high –altitude horse and foot trekking, and the streams of the park- which become important rivers further downstream – are well stoked with rainbow and brown trout.

Day 01,Arrive in Addis Ababa
Arrive Addis Ababa, Meet and greet, transfer to Hotel Afternoon visit of the city includes:-• National Museum of Ethiopia • St. trinity /Silassie / Church • Mt. Entoto Panaromic view of Addis Ababa
Day 02,Drive to the Bale Mt. National Park
We start a full day's drive to the Bale Mt. National Park, traveling thorough the southeast part of the capital, where fertile land is cultivated by the Oromo people. We arrive at Dinsho (Park HQ) in the afternoon, in time to walk around and see some of the endemic mammals: Menelik's Bushbuck, and Mountain Nyala. And birds Blue-winged goose, Spot-breasted lapwing, Abyssinian long claw, Wattled ibis, Black-headed siskin, Rouget’s rail, and of course other species, too. Overnight Dinsho Guest House that surrounded by juniper trees with plenty species of wildlife.
Day 03,Dinsho Bale Park-Goba.
Short hicking in Dinsho in the morning then we drive to Goba and check into your hotel. We then visit the highland lakes at Sanetti Plateau here the highest peak in the Bale Mountains, Tullu Deemtu (4377m, 14357ft) which is part of the Sanetti Plateau. The vistas are simply unbelievable and so photogenic. Here you will find small alpine lakes and typical afro-alpine vegetation that includes the Giant Lobelia and shrubs such as 'Everlasting'. Vistas reach out to the strange pinnacles of Chorchora Peak and across the sheer-sided Tegona River Gorge. There are views to the steep-sided volcanic plug of Konteh Tullu and the long, craggy ridges of Mount Batu. The car will meet us here and drive us down to Goba town for an overnight
Day 04,Sof Omar cave
Drive for a visit of Sof Omar cave, this 16km network of limestone caverns, which lies 100km east of the Bale range, and at 1300m above sea level, has been carved by the WEB river in its descent from the Bale highlands.
Day 05,Drive to Wendo Genet
Drive to Wendo Genet. Journeying on to Wendo Genet we take in lush tropical forest that hosts a vast array of birds as well as the Colobus monkey. Swim in the natural hot water pool.
Day 06,Awassa Lake
Visit in the morning the open fish market of the Sidamo people at Awassa Lake and drive back to Addis via the north rift valley lakes. Visiting en route Debrezeit & ziway for its Lakes with Bird life like flamingos, pelicans, Ibis and more others. This is a scenic route with geological, historical and natural history attractions. Evening you will have fare well dinner at traditional restaurant with live music till time of check in, Transfer to the Airport for your flight back home
